Studies have found that learning improves when children are engaged in an enjoyable and meaningful activity. That’s why every curriculum includes a variety of intriguing activities that stimulate early brain development with a focus on creative play. Although it may all look like kids having fun, it is also learning in action. It’s just another way that we make sure your child gets the most out of his or her preschool experience.
Our two year old program continues to capitalize on children’s window of opportunity by introducing and constantly reinforcing essential skills and knowledge, building the foundations upon which future learning will occur. Through planned activities and free play, our twos are carefully guided as they learn how to communicate, begin to care for themselves, express feelings appropriately, and understand how to play with others and interact appropriately with adults.
Our Creative Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers provides a comprehensive framework that emphasizes the relationships between the teachers/caregivers and children and their families form the basis of curriculum for very young children.

I have been working with children for over 6 years and have a daughter that keeps me very busy with her extracurricular activities. I have my Associate Degree as well as my Bachelor of Art in Education Degree from Catawba College. I am currently the lead teacher in the two-years-olds classroom and the afternoon supervisor. I enjoy every aspect of teaching and have realized throughout the years that they can teach us as much as we teach them. This is one of my favorite things about teaching. I have been employed with Partners in Learning for over 5 years. I believe that this center is a wonderful spot for your child to begin their education both academically and emotionally. We strive every day to provide a lasting education in each child that comes through our center. We are a great team with incredible passion for each individual child. I feel very proud and lucky to be part of such a great group of teachers.
Hi, I am Jennifer Ferguson. Some know me as Fergie. I live in Kannapolis for almost a year. My hobbies are: putting puzzles, camping and fishing. I have been a teacher at partners for 10 years. The best part of being a teacher is when a child runs up to you with a smile on their face. I am currently going to Rowan Cabarrus Community College for my associate degree in early childhood.
I have been working at partners in learning going on 3 years now. When I first started, I was the afternoon teacher in the polar bears classroom I recently had the opportunity to become the assistant teacher. I am in school at Rowan Cabarrus Community College working on my associate degree in early childhood development. My daughter Genesis is my world. I have made some of best relationships with my co-workers working here at PIL. It brings a joy to my heart to know I have helped a child learn something they didn’t know. I love caring for them and giving them love. My dream is to someday open my own daycare.
What Parents Are Saying
“The teachers were always great at making sure we were on the same page. They were always friendly and quick to tell me how my child was doing. I am very pleased with his care at Partners In Learning! Everyone is so wonderful!”
“Ms. Sam and Ms. Sara made me feel welcomed right away. They were instrumental in helping to form a love for learning and development. They made me feel included in Noah’s care the entire way. That support was crucial in successful potty training.”
