Family Support Outings for Special Needs

 

Partners In Learning provides free monthly family outings to support children and families with special needs in the community. This provides caregivers an opportunity to interact with other special needs families, as well as have the support of our Early Intervention Director and Family Support Specialist to facilitate a fun and supportive family outing.

Family support services are a wide range of programs and services that are designed to help families stay healthy, safe, and stable. These services can include everything from parenting education to financial assistance to childcare. Our family support services are here to assist with any resources that you may need.

Examples of family support services:

  • Parenting education
  • IEP and IFSP Advocate
  • Support groups ( Special Needs, Mental Health, Autism)
  • Financial assistance for some programs
  • Navigating Social Services
  • In house scholarships for some programs
  • Mental health services
  • ABA Services
  • Employment assistance
  •  Accessing Food assistance
  •  Accessing Medical and dental care programs

All families can benefit from family support services, regardless of their income or social status. We are here to help whether it is parenting classes, special education or meeting basic foundational needs. Let us help you find resources available.

Triple P

Triple P has produced wonderful outcomes in our community and is backed by research.

  • Triple P reduces problem behavior in children and improves parents’ well-being and parenting skills.1
  • In communities where Triple P is widely available, children have fewer behavioral and emotional problems.2
  • Parents using Triple P say they are less stressed, less depressed, and don’t use harsh discipline.2
  • Triple P can produce community-wide positive effects such as slowing the rate of child abuse and reducing foster care placements.3
