ABA Autism Clinic

“Cost of lifelong care for individuals with autism can be reduced by two-thirds with early diagnosis and intervention.”

Autism Society of America

Partners In Learning continues to advocate for inclusion and early intervention by raising awareness and continually adding services, resources, and support for families. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the gold standard for the treatment of autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and Partners In Learning is the only comprehensive organization in Rowan County that provides ABA therapy. We train our early education teaching staff in the fundamentals of ABA in order to provide additional support to children with autism in their classrooms. Autism spectrum disorder treatment based on principles of ABA can have powerful and positive effects on your child’s behavior, capacity for communication, relationships, performance at school, and interactions with other children. Additionally, ABA-based therapy can help reduce or eliminate disruptive, destructive, aggressive, or significantly repetitive behaviors, as well as family stress and conflicts.

Our mission is to provide families in the community with a place where they can receive diagnostic assessment and treatment in the same place. Families utilizing the clinical services through Partners In Learning will have access to evaluation, ABA therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, play therapy, and occupational therapy.

Currently, an estimated 1 in 44 children are diagnosed with autism, and 1 in 6 children are diagnosed with a developmental disability between the ages of 3-17 years old, according to the CDC. Early signs of autism include delayed speech development, repetitive motor movements or vocalizations, lack of eye contact and joint attention, delayed social and play skills, impulsivity, self-harm, limited interests, and sensory sensitivities.
