Specialized Mental Health Support for Your Entire Family
We believe that emotional well-being is the cornerstone of a happy and fulfilling life. We understand that challenges can arise at any age, and that supporting a child’s mental health means supporting the entire family. That’s why we offer specialized, compassionate counseling services designed to meet the unique needs of your family, from early childhood through adulthood.
The Power of Early Intervention: Nurturing Healthy Minds from the Start
Addressing mental health concerns early is one of the most powerful gifts you can give your child. The early years are a critical time for developing social and emotional skills. Just as we address physical health, proactively nurturing a child’s mental well-being can prevent smaller challenges from becoming larger obstacles later in life. Early support builds a strong foundation of resilience, emotional regulation, and healthy coping skills, positively impacting a child’s relationships, school experience, and overall confidence. By investing in their mental health now, you empower them for a brighter, more stable future.
For Our Youngest Clients (Ages 3-12): The Magic of Play Therapy
For children, play is their natural language. Our specialized counselor for young children utilizes research-based play therapy to help them express feelings, process difficult experiences, and learn new skills in a way that feels safe, natural, and fun. In the playroom, children can explore their world, overcome anxieties, and navigate challenges like behavioral issues, trauma, or family transitions. It’s a gentle yet profound approach that honors the child’s perspective and fosters genuine healing and growth.
For Teens, Young Adults, and Families: Navigating Life’s Transitions
The journey from adolescence to adulthood is filled with unique pressures and challenges. We have a dedicated counselor who specializes in supporting individuals from ages 13 through adulthood. Whether it’s tackling teen anxiety, navigating the transition to college, or managing early adult life stressors, our therapist provides a confidential and supportive space to build coping strategies and foster independence.
Because we know that when one person in a family is struggling, everyone is affected, we also offer expert family counseling. We work with you as a team to improve communication, strengthen bonds, and create a more harmonious and supportive home environment for everyone.
Your family’s mental health is our priority. Let us partner with you to heal, grow, and build a stronger future, together.

What Parents Are Saying
“We are the parents of a bright and energetic toddler, leading busy and sometimes challenging lives in our day-to-day routines. Our family experiences periods of highs and lows, much like any family we know. We had reached a really low point last fall, and I realized we (as the parents) needed additional help. I walked into PIL and sat down in Aleshya’s office, willing to take any and all measures to create what I thought was a safe environment for our toddler. After confiding in Aleshya and Landon about everything we were facing, they offered a service I did not realize was available to us. PIL’s very own Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Angel Thomas (who provides individual and family psychotherapy), contacted me and asked to set up therapy sessions. I agreed to the service and began seeing her individually for three months. Once I felt I was in a healthier mental space, Angel invited my partner to join us and try to work through our issues together, as one. While recognizing we are two completely different individuals with unique childhoods, our focus remains the same: to be the best parents we can be for our child. We are now entering our seventh month of therapy with Angel, and our household is flourishing. Don’t get me wrong, we still have our differing opinions, but Angel is continuing to teach us how to work through these situations as a parental unit. I am so appreciative for the safe space Aleshya and Landon provided for me to open up and tell my story. It’s not easy to admit you need help. PIL has been a blessing to our family, and I am forever grateful to the staff who have made a difference, not only in our lives but especially for our child.”
