Community-Based Rehabilitative Services (CBRS)
Partners In Learning provides Community-Based Rehabilitative Services (CBRS) to children ages birth to three years old in Rowan and surrounding counties including Cabarrus, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Iredell, Stanly, Stokes, Surry, Union, Guilford, Catawba, Burke, and Yadkin.
CBRS is developmental intervention uniquely designed to enhance cognitive, physical, behavioral, self-help, social-emotional, and language skills.
CBRS is a part of the state’s Infant Toddler Program. The Infant Toddler Program is a variety of agencies working together to provide early intervention services for children ages birth to three who have special needs and their families. Early Intervention Services help young children grow and develop while supporting their families in caring for them. Children enrolled in the Infant Toddler Program may be eligible for a variety of services, including evaluations, service coordination, assistive technology, and specialized therapy. Special Needs Support
Helping children with special needs does not just start and/or stop with our CBRS services. We provide in-home therapies, help navigating IEPs in the school system, special instruction and inclusion services, support groups for families, and many other developmental services for all age groups. For more information about how we can help your child, contact Cassie Karriker at 704-638-9020.
Family Support Outings for Special Needs
Partners In Learning provides free monthly family outings to support children and families with special needs in the community. This provides caregivers an opportunity to interact with other special needs families, as well as have the support of our Early Intervention Director and Family Support Specialist to facilitate a fun and supportive family outing.
